NIAGARA FALLS – A six-week diabetes self-management workshop, sponsored by the Niagara County Health Department and Office for the Aging, will start March 30 in the John Duke Senior Center, 1201 Hyde Park Blvd., Niagara Falls. The course will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday.
The program is meant for people who have already been diagnosed with diabetes and it complements the care participants already are receiving.
Topics will include improved problem-solving and decision-making skills to confront the challenges of living with diabetes, improved food choices, ways to increase physical activity, and practice in coping skills to maintain weight loss and healthy lifestyles.
