BATAVIA – The ninth annual Tech Wars battle comes to Genesee Community College on Thursday when more than 600 students from 18 regional middle and high schools will demonstrate their technical expertise through innovative, mind-expanding competitions.
Students arrive on the college’s Batavia campus at 8:30 a.m., with competitions running from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
New this year is VEX Robotics Co., providing a demonstration of a global competition involving students from colleges and universities around the world, which future students may be interested in.
The 30 different events challenge students in a range of technologies.
Tech Wars is hosted by the college’s Accelerated College Enrollment program for students in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties.
