“Lifting Every Voice” – a Buffalo Public Schools urban forum – will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Bennett High School.
New York State Regent Catherine Collins will be the keynote speaker. Buffalo Superintendent Kriner Cash will give opening remarks.
The forum aims to provide a platform for dialogue related to research-based best practices for teaching diverse groups of students and addressing their needs. Scholars, community stakeholders, parents, administrators, teachers and students will examine race, language and culture in Buffalo schools. They also will discuss, analyze and propose solutions to increase and improve culturally responsive instructional practices in the district.
