Erie man faces 17 years in prison for child porn conviction

An Erie, Pa. man accused of coercing a 13-year-old girl into sending him naked photos of herself pleaded guilty in Buffalo federal court Thursday.

John Tarell Grayson, 35, pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography and will face a recommended sentence of up to 17 years in prison.

Prosecutors say Grayson contacted the underage girl in March 2013 and, in texts and phone calls, demanded she send him naked photos of herself. The girl, who was living in Dunkirk at the time, eventually sent the photos.

Grayson’s conviction is the result of a prosecution by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian J. Counihan and an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
