Lockport motorcyclist who died in Niagara Falls crash identified

NIAGARA FALLS – The Lockport motorcyclist who died Monday night in a crash on Highland Avenue has been identified by police as Pedro J. Carrera-Gonzalez.

Carrera-Gonzalez, 39, was involved in a collision with a car on Highland between College and Beech avenues at about 8:45 p.m.

He was driving south on Highland when he struck a northbound car that started to make a left turn onto Profit Lane, Niagara Falls police said. Carrera-Gonzalez was ejected from his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle. He was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle, a Ford Crown Victoria, has only been identified as a 31-year-old Niagara Falls man.
