Niagara Falls man faces weapon and drug charges

LEWISTON – A Niagara Falls man was charged following a pursuit Saturday though the towns of Lewiston, Wheatfield, Niagara and the City of Niagara Falls.

Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said they stopped the vehicle for traffic violations just after midnight on Saunders Settlement Road, but the driver then pulled back onto the roadway.

The suspect, Joshua J. Lindsey, 26, of Ninth Street, was observed throwing things out the window on Nash Road in Wheatfield. He was charged after pulling into a parking lot near his home in the 3000 block of Ninth Street.

Patrol recovered several bags of marijuana in the vehicle, fetanyl patches and a bag of cocaine. A 9 mm handgun was recovered on the side of the roadway on Nash Road. Ammunition for the gun was recovered in the vehicle.

Lindsey appeared in Niagara Falls City Court and was held on $500 bail on unspecified narcotic and traffic charges.
