Four groups that help immigrants get M&T grants

Four organizations that assist immigrants to Western New York have been awarded grants from M&T Bank through the M&T Charitable Foundation, foundation president Shelley C. Drake announces.

The International Institute of Buffalo, Jericho Road Ministries, Journey’s End Refugee Services and the Westminster Economic Development Initiative each will receive $10,000. The grants are in addition to $35,000 given by M&T during the past year for specific programs and services run by the organizations.

“As the number of new immigrants in Buffalo and Western New York continues to rise, we wanted to increase our level of support,” Drake says, “because we understand how important these agencies are in helping new Buffalonians integrate into our community.”
