Medical issues are forcing the hard rock band AC/DC to postpone its March 29 appearance in First Niagara Center and nine other dates on the U.S. leg of its “Rock or Bust” World Tour, the group announced on its website Monday evening.
The website reported that lead singer Brian Johnson “has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.”
The group said that the dates, beginning Tuesday in Atlanta and continuing through April 4 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, “will be made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist.” Ticket holders were advised to hold onto their tickets for the rescheduled dates or request a refund at the point-of-purchase. The tour is scheduled to resume in Europe in May.
