A vehicle stolen at gunpoint early Sunday on the East Side was later recovered in damaged condition, Buffalo police reported.
A man and woman told Ferry-Fillmore District officers they pulled up to their house in the first block of Keystone Street about 12:30 a.m. when they were approached by two suspects who displayed a handgun and forced them out.
The suspects later led officers from the area of Suffolk Street and Hewitt Avenue to Cheektowaga where they fled the vehicle, according to a report.
The vehicle, a 2016 Honda HR-V, was impounded at the Police Department’s Seneca Street garage with heavy front end damage, police said. The report did not indicate how the damage occurred.
