High school student Uniqua Rolon will be exhibiting her designs along with 10 other students representing eight school districts at “Limitless,” a fashion show Thursday at Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga presented by Erie 1 BOCES. Uniqua’s passion centers on vintage ‘80s apparel, She said it was sparked by television shows and the music of MC Hammer and Boy George.
“I’m in love with the ‘80s for as long as I can remember,” she said. Her fashion style was inspired by the reality show “America’s Top Model.” Uniqua hopes to become a costume designer for television and film. She plans on attending Villa Maria College on Pine Ridge Road.
Limitless will be presented at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Lord & Taylor Court. The events is free and open to the public.
