NIAGARA FALLS – Two people were arrested early Saturday after a newspaper delivery person told police he was chased through a LaSalle neighborhood by several people – some carrying hockey sticks.
Police were called originally to the 1500 block of 97th Street about 4 a.m. for a report of a fight involving people armed with hockey sticks. When they arrived, they found only only two people at the scene and a short time later, the delivery person approached officers, telling them he had been chased from the scene.
Officers said they spotted several teens hiding inside a nearby residence, which was littered with empty beer and liquor containers, but no one would answer the door. They ended up arresting two people on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration, including Joseph W. Hubler, 19, and Samantha L. Hodil, 18, both of 70th Street.
