Springlike warmth on tap for early part of the new week

The chilly weather that roared in like a lion at the start of March is about to be tamed with milder temperatures during the early part of the new week.

Temperatures will remain in the 30s on Sunday and rise by 20 degrees by Monday, ushering in springlike temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Bob Hamilton, National Weather Service meteorologist.

“It’s going to be warmer than it’s been ... into the 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday,” said Hamilton, who credited the warm-up to a high-pressure system moving into our region from the Southeast.
