The renowned Morehouse College Glee Club and Quartet from Atlanta, Ga., will perform a program of cultural and spiritual songs at 7 p.m. Thursday in First Shiloh Baptist Church, 15 Pine St. The concert is sponsored by the First Shiloh Youth Foundation as part of the church’s centennial celebration.
The concert will be dedicated to the memory of community leader and social worker Clemmon H. “Clem” Hodges, a Morehouse graduate, Marine Corps veteran and director of social work services at the veterans’ hospitals in Batavia and Rochester. A founding member of the BUILD organization and 1490 Enterprises, he died in 1997.
Tickets are $20 and are available at Doris Records, 286 E. Ferry St. No tickets will be sold at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is not reserved.
