DARIEN – Timothy M. Weinstein, 44, of the Town of Darien has been charged with breaking the arm of a woman with a wooden stick and then pushing her out of his car at about 7 a.m. Friday on Sumner and Alleghany roads in the Town of Darien.
Genesee County sheriff’s deputies arrested Weinstein at his Alleghany Road home Friday morning on charges of second-degree assault, third- and fourth-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapons, third-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing cannabis.
He was ordered held in the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or a $40,000 bail bond.
The woman claimed Weinstein began beating her Thursday evening.
When deputies got to his house Friday morning, they reported finding marijuana plants growing inside and a quantity of prepared marijuana. Weinstein faces further proceedings in Darien Town Court next week.
