The Moth & The Flame returns to the Tralf

A former member of Alternative Buffalo's "You Saw Them First" series, Utah's The Moth & The Flame, or TMTF, will be back for a second go around 8 p.m. March 5 at Tralf Music Hall (622 Main St.).

Since the band's first appearance in Buffalo this past fall, the experimental four-piece has seen its profile on the rise following the September release of its "Young and Unafraid" EP, a heady place setter for the group's forthcoming LP, set to drop later this year.

The video for the record's invigorating title track features footage of Neil "The Dude" Unger, a "seasoned" veteran of the skateboard community whom the band believes perfectly exemplifies the spirit of the synth-rocking "Young and Unafraid."

"It's about determination and confidence. It's not about what others expect of you. It's about what you expect of yourself," the band expressed.

Tickets are $7 - $10 (box office, Ticketmaster) with doors opening at 7 p.m.
