Little Valley basement marijuana factory raided

LITTLE VALLEY – A 46-year-old Fair Oak Street man was arrested and his basement marijuana factory was shut down Thursday evening during a raid by the Olean Office of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, according to Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb. Mark A. Frentz was arrested about 6:20 p.m. Thursday during the raid on his house in the 200 block of the street. He was charged with unlawfully growing marijuana, fourth-degree possession of marijuana and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff.

The raiders reported finding a sophisticated grow room in the basement of the Frentz house on Fair Oak Street, with heating lamps and reflective wrap all around the room which “held multiple marijuana plants,” according to Sheriff Whitcomb. Frentz has been ordered to appear in Little Valley Town Court on March 23, the sheriff said.
