A flock of helicopters flying across the skies of Buffalo late Thursday morning have a lot of people wondering.
Update 1:51 p.m.: Seven Army Black Hawk helicopters were just seen leaving Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Cheektowaga.
It's still not clear what they were doing in the area, but they may have made a stop at the airport to refuel.
We reached out to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority early this afternoon and are waiting to hear back.
12:20 p.m.: So far, there’s been no official explanation about what they were doing here. They did not belong to U.S. Customs and Border Protection or the Coast Guard, officials told The News.
A few people around Buffalo have tweeted about seeing six or seven or eight helicopters flying together in the area. Some described them as military-style choppers.

It's kind of strange to see over 6 helicopters fly over your house at once. I wonder what that's about?
