Bring home 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

It's not a joke - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be available for home viewing starting April 1.

The sci-fi blockbuster, which has pulled in more than $2 billion worldwide, will be available to own on digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere starting April 1, it was announced at Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders. It arrives as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 5. Look for bonus material including behind-the-scenes features, an in-depth documentary on the making of the film, deleted scenes and interviews with the actors and filmmakers.

The DVD and Blu-ray editions of the film already are available for pre-sale via such retailers as Target and Walmart with the Blu-ray combo pack pre-order cost about $19.95; early reports are that it will retail for $39.95.
