‘Giants of Buffalo’ to be honored at History Museum

Prominent local restaurant and hotel owner Russell J. Salvatore and award-winning Buffalo-born screenwriter and producer Diane English will be honored in the fourth annual Giants of Buffalo program during M&T Third Fridays at the Buffalo History Museum this spring.

Salvatore will be honored April 15 for his civic leadership through hospitality and philanthropy in a program that will include questions, exhibits and memorabilia. English, best known for creating the television show, “Murphy Brown,” will be honored May 20.

Each evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. in the State Court with music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, followed by the program at 7 in the auditorium. Tickets are $20, or $10 for museum members. Tickets go on sale March 16 for Salvatore and April 15 for English. For more information, call 873-9644, ext. 320.
