Stanley Pulaski Sr., of Depew, a direct descendant of Revolutionary War hero Gen. Casimir Pulaski, will be among the dignitaries at 5 p.m. Friday at the annual wreath laying at the Gen. Pulaski statue just north of Ellicott Square in downtown Buffalo.
Also scheduled to appear are Erie County Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams, County Clerk Chris Jacobs, County Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw, Sheriff Tim Howard, Family Court Judge Brenda Freedman and Assemblywoman Angela Wozniak, R-Cheektowaga.
Following the ceremony, the annual General Pulaski Association installation dinner will be held at 7 p.m. in the Millenium Hotel Buffalo, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. Installing officer will be Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul S. Piotrowski.
The fifth annual Dr. Hratch L. Karamanoukian Vien Treatment Centers scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding Polish-American college-bound student. Tickets are $40. For reservations, call Marian Kreutzer at 681-4981 or Chris Witkowski at 684-0512.
