Warren A. Jensen of Angola, a volunteer firefighter and past chief of the Angola Fire Department, died Feb. 20 under hospice care. He was 77.
Mr. Jensen joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from Bennett High School.
He was a millwright at Bethlehem Steel until retiring.
He was a life member of the Angola Fire Department and served in many capacities over the years. He was president in 1980 and again from 2002-03 and chief from 1986 to 1989.
He also was president of the Angola Fire Control Chiefs Association and a delegate for the Southwestern Association of Firemen. He was a member of the Western Association of Firemen; Erie County Volunteer Fireman’s Association and Erie County Fire Chiefs Mutual Aid Organization. At one time he was the code enforcement and disaster coordinator for Angola.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Linda Ress; three daughters, Elizabeth, Susan and Cheryl; a son, Keith; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Eden United Methodist Church, 2820 Church St.
