Last Year: Dustin Johnson, in his fifth event since taking a leave of absence from the PGA Tour to iron out “personal issues,” closed with a 3-under-par 69 to claim a one-stroke victory over J.B. Holmes, who blew a five-stroke lead in the final round by shooting 75. Johnson, who claimed his ninth PGA Tour title and second in a WGC event, took the lead for good with a 10-foot birdie putt on the 14th hole, where Holmes made bogey, and went two ahead with a 15-foot birdie putt on the next hole. Johnson, whose streak of winning in the last eight PGA Tour seasons is the longest active run on the circuit, held on with three pars down the stretch. Bubba Watson held the lead early on the back nine, but he made three bogeys in four holes through No. 14 and wound up two shots back in third after a 71.

Last Year: In a battle among the top three players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf rankings, No. 2 Inbee Park of South Korea finished with a 2-under-par 70 to claim a two-stroke victory over No. 1 Lydia Ko of New Zealand, who also shot 70. No. 3 Stacy Lewis carded a 72 and was two more shots back in solo third. Park, who claimed the first of her five titles in 2015 and now has 17 in her LPGA Tour career, played bogey-free golf for the entire 72 holes. Ko, trying to win for the third straight week, was tied for the lead through seven holes before falling back with bogeys on three of the next six holes, while Park made birdies on the seventh and 11th holes but recorded pars on the other 16.
