NIAGARA FALLS – A 17-year-old woman was hit over the head with a vodka bottle while she was attending a party on the 24th floor of the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel early Monday, police said.
Officers interviewed her in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she was being treated for a gash on her head.
She told police that she arrived at the party at 1:40 a.m. and as she entered she saw another person get jumped. She said she went over to help and was punched in the back of the head and someone hit her over the forehead with a vodka bottle, which shattered and left a gash on her forehead and small cuts on her right hand.
During the struggle three chain necklaces, valued at $3,000, were ripped off her neck.
She said she left immediately to seek medical treatment.
Police found blood in the hotel room and elevator. No arrests were reported.
