LAVNER, Cynthia J.

LAVNER - Cynthia J. Of Montrose, CA, formerly of Clarence and Ellicottville, NY, passed away on January 22, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Sheldon, and her parents, Jack and Anne Berger. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Shih Lan), Mark (Phyllis), Halli (Emerson Havens), and Kenneth; grandchildren, Justin, Ryan (Amy), and Michelle; and sister, Holly Bass (Roger). Cynthia was a loving, patient wife and a wonderful mother. Her family was most important to her, and she was selfless in regard to meeting their needs. While Cynthia enjoyed her work in the Clarence Central Schools, holding various positions, including starting and running the Media Center in the High School, she balanced her employment, with the parenting demands of her four children, making sure that she never missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments. In retirement, she and Sheldon moved to Ellicottville to ski and golf. Cynthia loved cooking, music, museums and playing cards. She was invincible at Gin Rummy. On September 11, 2001, Cynthia and Shelden moved to Rancho Mirage, CA to continue enjoying their retirement. Cynthia leaves behind many family members, friends, and loving memories. She is missed.
