Drug suspect awaiting trial faces new charges

A Buffalo man already awaiting trial on his arrest in November for having a felony-level amount of cocaine was arrested again Tuesday and accused of having a quarter-pound of cocaine, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

Ephriam Hunter, 38, was pulled over by deputies on a ramp from the Scajaquada Expressway to the Kensington Expressway. Deputies said they found cocaine and marijuana in his vehicle. Hunter remained in custody in Erie County Holding Center.
