Cedric the Entertainer, George Lopez head Buffalo-bound 'Comedy Get Down'

How's this for a comedy line-up: Cedric ‘The Entertainer’, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, George Lopez and Charlie Murphy.

It gets better: They're coming to town to appear on the same stage the same night.

The name of the show is "The Comedy Get Down" and it will come to the stage at First Niagara Center at 8 p.m. April 23.

  • Cedric "The Entertainer" is best known for hit films such as Barbershop, Be Cool, The Original Kings of Comedy.
  • Lopez, whose career encompasses television, film, standup comedy, and late-night television, starred in television’s groundbreaking hit sitcom George Lopez, which ran for six seasons on ABC.
  • Griffin has received recognition through his numerous stand-up comedy specials, movies, television appearances, music and comedy albums for not only acting, but writing and producing as well.
  • Hughley, star of his namesake TV show that ran on ABC, The Hughleys, is also known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy tour and docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy.
  • Murphy became a household name as a cast member of Chappelle’s Show when he recanted his True Hollywood Stories of celebrity.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 4 at prices ranging from $49.75 to $65.75 and $49.75. They can be purchased at the First Niagara Center Box Office, online at www.tickets.com, or by calling (888) 223-6000.
