Buffalo man charged with robbing Amherst bank

A 22-year-old Buffalo man has been charged with robbing an Amherst bank branch on Thursday.

Jehad Ramadan, 22, is accused of robbing the Bank of America, 2305 Millersport Highway, at about 1:30 p.m., Amherst police said.

Ramadan is accused of passing the bank teller a note stating he had a gun and demanding $50,000. He was caught outside the bank, police said.

Ramadan was arraigned Friday, with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
