Falls-area men indicted on DWI felonies

LOCKPORT – Two western Niagara County men, both of whom have two prior drunken driving convictions, were arraigned on felony driving while intoxicated charges Thursday in State Supreme Court.

James L. Griggs, 40, of Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls, who refused the breath test after his Nov. 28 arrest in the Falls, pleaded not guilty to felony DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to obey a traffic control device and entering a state park while it was closed.

William C. Cutlip, 44, of Laur Road, Town of Niagara, is facing charges of aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding and inadequate lights. His blood alcohol content was measured at .20 percent.
