Buffalo audiences have a chance to be a part of comedy audio history this weekend, as “Last Comic Standing” contestant Joe List will perform at Helium Comedy Club Feb. 25-27 to record his comedy album in front of a live audience.
A semi-finalist on the 2015 season of “Last Comic Standing,” List has performed stand-up comedy on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Conan” and Comedy Central. Despite losing the reality show competition, List earned many new fans during his run, including Norm McDonald and the comedy website Interrobang, who called List the breakout comedian of 2015. He also is the co-host (along with Mark Normand) of the “Tuesdays with Stories” podcast and frequently appears on Robert Kelly’s “You Know What Dude” podcast.
The comedy album is still revered today, as it allows comics to often complete the finishing touches on many of their jokes to record for prosperity. List’s first album, “So Far No Good,” was released in 2012 and is still available on iTunes.
List will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 and 7:30 and 10 p.m. Feb. 26-27 at Helium Comedy Club (30 Mississippi St.). Tickets are $15-$28. Visit heliumcomedy.com
