Falls police capture woman sought in fatal stabbing

NIAGARA FALLS – Authorities on Tuesday afternoon took a woman into custody who they believe stabbed a man to death during a domestic incident on Monday night.

Police, along with the U.S. Marshals, had been searching for Chamia Nicole Johnson, 34, of Seventh Street, Niagara Falls since Monday night. She was taken into custody shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were called to the Monteagle Ridge apartments off Hyde Park Boulevard at 10 p.m. where they found Antoine Mallory bleeding from a single stab wound to the chest.

Mallory, 39, was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he died, Niagara Falls Police said.
