Cheektowaga Community Symphony opens its season Sunday

The Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra will present its first program of the season at 3 p.m. Sunday at Villa Maria College, 240 Pine Ridge Road, Cheektowaga.

The group of professional and amateur musicians who volunteer their time, has functioned on donations from the community, and admission is a free will donation.

The concert, “Austrian-Italian Relations,” will feature the music of Verdi, Mozart and Brahms. Doug Shaw is the guest conductor, and soprano Leslie Bahler will also be featured.
