Kent State visits the University at Buffalo at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a key Mid-American Conference game. Kent State is in a three-way tie for second in the MAC at 9-5. UB is 8-6 but beat Kent State in the first meeting. The game is at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. due to television. It's part of a MAC double-header on Time Warner Sports.
Defending Kent State's inside game figures to be the big challenge for UB. Kent has outstanding big men in 6-8 junior Jimmy Hall and 6-9 senior Khaliq Spicer. Kent lost its No. 2 scorer (6-4 Xavier Pollard) and its sixth man (6-3 Jaylin Walker) both for the season due to foot injuries. But the Golden Flashes still were able to upset arch rival and MAC-leader Akron on Friday night.
