Two arrested in an hour on West Chippewa

Two men were charged with disorderly conduct after separate incidents between 3 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Saturday on West Chippewa Street between Franklin and Pearl streets, Buffalo police said.

The first incident started at 3 a.m. outside a nightclub at 45 W. Chippewa when police said William Allen, 28, of Westchester Drive, Cheektowaga, was ejected from a club for fighting inside. Once outside, he refused to leave the area and attempted to push past officers to re-enter the club, they said. He was charged with disorderly conduct.

Less than an hour later, police returned to the same address to deal with Demar Johnson, 30, of Krettner St., Buffalo, who police said was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Officers said that when they approached, Johnson became loud, used obscene language and refused to leave. While being booked, they said Johnson refused to follow procedures, challenged booking attendants with “a fighting stance,” and held onto a door to avoid being put in a cell. In addition to disorderly conduct, he was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.
