City of Tonawanda man accused of stealing checks, forging name

A City of Tonawanda man who left for Atlanta after allegedly stealing checks from his brother and forging his signature was arrested Friday when police received word he had returned.

Joshua A. Miller, 28, of Gibson Street was charged with four counts of forgery, a second-degree felony, and four counts of petit larceny for allegedly cashing checks under his brother’s name in December. Police say the checks totaled $1,980.
