A Buffalo man who worked as a delivery man for a mattress retailer pleaded guilty to stealing from his employer Tuesday in State Supreme Court.
Robert Tracy, 24, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary before Justice Christopher Burns.
Tracy admitted that, while employed as a delivery man at Xtreme Discount Mattress, he used his security code to gain access to the company warehouse and take inventory, which he later sold. The pilfering continued for six months, from April to October 2015, until Tracy was caught.
Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik prosecuted the case and included as part of his plea that Tracy sign a confession of judgment in the amount of $25,000.
He faces the possibility of up to seven years in prison when sentenced in May.
