Woman robbed at gunpoint in Niagara Falls alley

NIAGARA FALLS – A woman was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning after she left a Walnut Avenue gas station.

The 34–year–old victim told police that she left the gas station in the 1900 block of Walnut Avenue at 3 a.m. and was walking home. She crossed the street towards the alley between 19th and 20th streets when a man came up behind her and put a gun in her back. He demanded she empty her pockets.

She turned around and spotted a black revolver and handed over $30. The thief then walked away, heading southbound down the alley.

The victim described the gunman as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and a beard, wearing a dark baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt and green camouflage pants.
