Two subjects were revived by rescuers Saturday night in Cherry Creek in Chautauqua County through the use of Narcan, a drug which is used in emergency situations to treat those who have overdosed on morphine, heroin or other opiods.
Chautauqua County deputies along with fire rescuers from Cherry Creek and South Dayton responded at 11:25 p.m. after receiving a call that two unidentified persons had overdosed. At the scene, both were unresponsive.
Sheriff deputies assisted fire rescue workers in administering Narcan to revive the two.
Both were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
