Black History Month program set at NACC in the Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – Black History Month will be celebrated with a program entitled Freedom Crossing from 2 to 6 p.m. next Sunday at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave.

Music will lead off the program with a master drummers and dance class at 2 p.m. followed by a performance by the African-American Cultural Center, sponsored by the Niagara Falls Chapter of LINKS. Jessica Thorpe and Priscilla Hill will give poetry readings and Eva Doyle will give a presentation on the role of Niagara Falls in the Underground Railroad.

A special award will honor artist Ray Robertson.
