Buffalo man is victim of carjacking in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A Buffalo man was briefly kidnapped early Saturday by two masked men who drove off in his rental car after kicking the victim out at Ninth and Falls streets, police said.

The victim, 33, told police he was driving a 2016 Dodge Charger and had parked in the alley between 10th Street and Memorial Parkway just after midnight while two female acquaintances went into a nearby home. As the Buffalo man started cleaning out the rear seat of the car, he was accosted by two young men wearing hoodies and half masks – one armed with a shotgun – and demanding money. The men forced the victim into the trunk of the car and drove off, but soon released the victim. The bandits made off with the victim’s wallet, about $200 in cash and a cellphone. The victim walked to a nearby business and alerted police.

Police reproted finding some of the victim’s belongings at the scene of the original confrontation.
