Police arrested six people in a series of raids targeting gang members in Buffalo on Thursday morning.
Law enforcement recovered a loaded handgun, two shotguns, along with several ounces of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, Buffalo police said. More than $2,000 in cash also was confiscated.
Authorities executed search warrants at two homes on the West Side – in the 100 block of Rhode Island Street and the 500 block of West Avenue. Police also searched addresses on Ada Place, Wade Avenue and Rodney Avenue.
Detectives from Buffalo police’s Intelligence Unit, along with SWAT teams and Narcotics Squad members from Buffalo, Amherst and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office participated in the raids.
