ADOPTION EVENT: Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be on hand with its adoptable dogs Devers, Jack, Molly, Maddie, Darcy and Corey from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pet Supplies Plus, 2952 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst. Volunteers will have information about the adoption process, volunteering and upcoming events. The rescue is in need of donations of Science Diet and Purina One dog food and supplies including laundry soap and cleaning supplies and paper products. IMAGINE VIDEO SERIES: A video entitled “From Monet to Van Gogh, A History of Impressionism: Manet’s Later Works” will be shown from noon to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday as part of the “Imagine Greater Buffalo” lecture-discussion series on the main floor of the Central Library’s Ring of Knowledge, near Fables Cafe, 1 Lafayette Square. The free event is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History and Nature. The video and future discussions are in connection with the Albright-Knox Art Gallery exhibit “Monet and the Impressionist Revolution,” which continues through March 20.
