Tamburlin completes county government course

LOCKPORT – Niagara County Legislature Clerk Mary Jo Tamburlin has completed a course in the County Government Institute operated by the New York State Association of Counties, the organization said Wednesday.

Tamburlin, a North Tonawanda Republican who has served as clerk since 2008, was honored Tuesday in Albany for graduating from the course, created in conjunction with Cornell University.

The institute’s curriculum includes course work on government ethics, building consensus in a political environment, principles of county budget and finance, and public-sector labor-management relations.
