Lockport Cemetery seeks to expand

LOCKPORT – All Saints Catholic Parish in Lockport is seeking to expand St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Glenwood Avenue, which has been in operation for 150 years and contains almost 11,000 graves.

The city Planning Board approved the idea Monday, but a special use permit is required, which means the Common Council must schedule a public hearing and a vote.

The addition to the east side of the property would measure 145 by 150 feet and would add 400 to 500 burial plots, according to the city Building Inspection Office.
