CBS plans Super Bowl pregame feature on what would have happened if Bills won Super Bowl XXV

The CBS pregame show for the Super Bowl Sunday will include a feature that deals with a question that many Buffalo Bills fans have been asking for 25 years.

In a conference call today, CBS Sports President Sean McManus said the four-hour program will take a look at Super Bowl XXV and “what would have happened if the Bills had actually won that game and Scott Norwood’s kick went through the uprights instead of going wide right.”

“It is a really clever feature that shows how history would have changed, what it would have been like,” said McManus. “Would the Buffalo Bills have gone on and won three more Super Bowls to win four in a row?”

McManus said Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and a lot of other players in the Bills’ 20-19 loss to the New York Giants in Tampa, Fla. will be part of the feature.

“Really a neat little feature,” said McManus.

According to a spokesman, the feature will be shown between 4:30 and 5 p.m., which will air on Channel 4 before Carolina and Denver meet in Super Bowl 50.
