Two male suspects arrested for a pistol whipping and violent assault Sunday.

JAMESTOWN – A 22-year-old Prendergast Avenue man and a 17-year-old Jamestown boy are both being held on felony charges for allegedly violently pistol-whipping a man with a loaded handgun in a Newton Avenue flat early Sunday morning.

Aaron S. Miller was also charged with drug possession after police reported finding more than 22 grams of crack cocaine, cash and a second handgun in his flat Sunday afternoon. The loaded handgun was reportedly found in the trunk of a car linked to the violent assault.

Miller is being held on second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of controlled substances, menacing and reckless endangerment.

The 17-year-old is being held on second-degree assault. Both were placed in the city jail pending further proceedings in Jamestown City Court. No motive for the alleged assault was disclosed by police. The investigation of the incident is reportedly continuing. The victim was being treated for head injuries.
