Jack Eichel may not have had a better week than John Scott, but the Sabres rookie forward was better than nearly everyone else.
The NHL has named Eichel, who had two goals and two assists in two games, as its Third Star of the Week. The center assisted on two goals in a loss to the New York Rangers last Monday and scored twice in a win over Ottawa on Tuesday.
Eichel and the rest of the Sabres, who took five days off for the All-Star break, will return to practice at 3:15 p.m. Monday.
Scott, who shined at the All-Star Game, was named the league's First Star on Monday. Columbus' Cam Atkinson was the Second Star after recording four goals and an assist during two victories over Montreal.
