Ohio man arrested on felony drug charge near Jamestown

ELLICOTT – A 26-year-old Ohio man was jailed without bail after State Police assigned to nearby Jamestown reported finding a felony level of drugs in his car during a traffic stop for allegedly speeding Monday on Route I-86 here.

Patrick S. Rockwell of Milan, Ohio, was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in Mayville without bail after his arraignment in Ellicott Town Court on felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Rockwell was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in his vehicle. According to a state police report troopers found in Rockwell’s car 159 grams of hashish in the forms of hashish butter, hashish oil, hashish capsules and hashish candy. The Chautauqua County district attorney’s office is reviewing the case pending further court proceedings.
