Police: Hamburg woman brandished gun in Thruway road-rage incident

RIPLEY – A Hamburg woman brandished a gun during a road-rage incident on the mainline Thruway on Wednesday, state police reported.

Michelle L. Chmura, 57, a passenger in a Pontiac G6, waved a 9mm handgun during the incident, which happened just before 9:30 a.m., police said.

The vehicle was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police.

State Police charged her with second-degree menacing. Authorities issued Chmura an appearance ticket for Ripley Town Court for Wednesday.
