Fire breaks out on Tracy Street

A fire reported broke just before noon Wednesday on Tracy Street near South Elmwood Avenue, said Buffalo Fire Department marshals, who responded to the scene.

The fire started in a rear room on the first floor of a two-story house at 24 Tracy, the Buffalo Fire Dispatch Office reported. It was confined to the first floor and brought under control at 12:13 p.m., said fire dispatchers.

No injuries were reported.

Damages were estimated at $50,000 to the structure and $10,000 to the contents.
