Buffalo man convicted in West Seneca robbery

A Buffalo man has been found guilty of robbing a man who posted an online ad selling a high-end pair of sneakers.

Rodney T. Lee, 20, was convicted of second-degree robbery after a 10-day trial before Erie County Judge Kenneth Case, West Seneca police said.

Lee and another man responded to a West Seneca man’s advertisement, then robbed him with a BB gun in February, police said.

The victim called 911 and gave police the vehicle’s license plate, which investigators tracked to Lee’s address where the sneakers and gun were recovered.

Lee faces a prison term of up to 15 years when he is sentenced by Judge Penny Wolfgang.
